25g butter
8 slices bread
50g sultanas
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
350ml Milk
50ml Double cream
2 Eggs
25g Sugar (I used cinnamon flavoured icing sugar)

Grease an ovenproof dish. Butter the bread and trim the crusts off and cut into triangles. Layer half of the bread triangles on the base of the dish and top with half the sultanas and half the cinnamon. Do a second layer and top with cinnamon and sultanas. Whisk the eggs and sugar. Warm (not boil) the milk and cream then whisk into eggs and sugar. Pour mixture over bread. Top with grated nutmeg. Leave to stand for half an hour.
Bake on 180c for 35 minutes.
